About the Opportunity

Verum Mining Consultants is seeking a full-time Senior Resource Geologist, based anywhere in Canada, with up to 25% travel across North America.

In this technical and client-facing role, you will report to the Principal Mining Engineer and be responsible for delivering high-quality geological input across a variety of projects, including resource estimation, feasibility, and optimization studies for underground metal and mineral operations.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Leading geological modelling, data analysis, and resource estimation for diverse mining projects
  • Applying geostatistical methods and developing block models to support mine planning and feasibility studies
  • Conducting due diligence reviews, NI 43-101 compliance assessments, and technical audits
  • Supporting business improvement and optimization studies to enhance resource classification and reporting accuracy
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams of mining engineers, metallurgists, and project managers on studies and site investigations
  • Conducting site visits across Canada and the U.S. to collect, validate, and interpret geological data
  • Preparing and reviewing technical reports, feasibility documents, and study deliverables for clients
  • Providing expert advice to clients with professionalism, diplomacy, and integrity
  • Managing multiple concurrent projects across different commodities and jurisdictions
  • Mentoring junior geologists and contributing to team knowledge sharing and technical excellence
  • Ensuring compliance with professional and ethical standards as a P.Geo or equivalent professional

About You

To qualify, you will need a bachelor’s degree in geology or geological engineering, along with Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo) registration or eligibility for registration in a Canadian province. A minimum of 10 years of experience in resource geology within the mining industry will also be essential.

 Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:

  • Advanced proficiency in geostatistics, geological modelling, and block model development
  • Experience contributing to or leading NI 43-101 technical reports, feasibility studies, and due diligence assessments
  • Background working on underground metalliferous projects, including a range of metals and minerals 
  • Strong understanding of resource estimation processes and supporting data analysis
  • Demonstrated experience working across multi-commodity and multi-project portfolios
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including mining engineers and project managers
